1st Malaysia Organic Conference

The Development and Future of the Local Food Farming Industry

Baba has been actively advocating organic planting in Malaysia for many years now and is the first NGO in Malaysia to promote organic certification.

We subsidise farmers who are aiming to go organic in order to encourage others to follow suit in joining them and become organic farmers. This is all done in the hope of creating a better and healthier environment!

In recent years, we have started to feel that public awareness on organic issues have been steadily increasing and that the people in the industry needs to have a more united front. In addition to that, support from the government is also essential in order for us to be able to advance further. Hence, we have decided to host the “1st Malaysia Organic Conference”.

To gather a diverse group of NGOs, distributors, farmer associations, government agencies, tertiary institutions, etc. from around Malaysia who are involved in similar research activities to plan and organise this conference together.

To invite local and overseas organic experts to give speeches. These speeches will encompass the importance of adopting organic ways, organic certification and food processing in the hope that this will further achieve the vision and consensus of the local organic industry and thus pushing the organic farming industry in Malaysia to achieve greater milestones.

This is a social welfare conference which limited to only 300 participants.
