This issue is most likely caused by scale insect infestation. These pests attach themselves to the surface of the fruit or branches, sucking sap from the plant and damaging the fruit tissue, which can cause it to turn black. At the same time, the plant may also be suffering from mineral deficiencies—especially of calcium, potassium, magnesium, and boron—which can weaken the fruit skin and make it more susceptible to pests and diseases.
Recommended Treatment:
1. Foliar Spray Treatment: Mix 20L of water with 30ml Mr Ganick Scale Ex Lite + 30ml Mr Ganick Nitro K+ + 30ml Mr Ganick Moldy Guard. Stir well and spray over the entire tree, including branches, leaves, and fruit surfaces. Repeat every 5–7 days, for 3 rounds. This helps reduce pest density while also supplying essential nutrients to restore the fruit’s health and appearance.
2. Soil Nutrition Boost:
Apply around 3–4 kg of Mr Ganick Base Compost Extra around the tree’s root zone. This improves soil structure, enhances root absorption, and strengthens the plant’s overall resilience against pests and diseases from the ground up.
