Plant issue small bumps of okra plant

Why does the surface of okra have small bumps?

The appearance of these small bumps is likely caused by stink bugs or leaf-footed bugs (also known as “shield bugs” or “stink beetles”). These pests feed on the plant by piercing the okra pods and sucking the sap, leaving behind tiny scars and raised bumps on the surface. Additionally, they may secrete substances that further irritate the plant tissue, leading to these visible blemishes.

Since these bugs can be challenging to eliminate completely, it is recommended to spray Mr Ganick Dr. Neem RTU twice a week to effectively repel pests and minimize plant damage. Regular spraying can help protect the okra from further infestations, ensuring healthier plant growth and better-quality pods.

When using Mr Ganick Dr Neem RTU, please note:

  1. Shake the bottle before use.
  2. Apply in the morning and avoid spraying plants in direct sunlight.
  3. For prevention or mild cases, spray once a week; for severe infestations, spray every three days.
